We are excited and proud to announce that Kori Wilbourn, of Daphne, AL, is the 2013 SOFFE All Star!
Kori is not only a member of Gem of Champions, Black Diamonds squad, she also cheers with the Varsity Cheerleading squad at Daphne High School! Kori, along with 30+ girls, interviewed with us at this past weekend’s CHEERSPORT Nationals for the coveted spot! She left a lasting impression on the selection committee and Inside Cheerleading magazine. We all agree that she represents everything the SOFFE All Star should be, and more!
Kori's dedication to, not only the sport of cheerleading, but also her friends and community, really set her apart and made her a shining star in this year's contest!
She has been a long time supporter and fundraiser for the March Forth with Hope Foundation, which is an organization that provides financial assistance to families battling cancer or other life-threatening diseases. Her outstanding charity efforts don't stop there. She also works as a coach for younger cheerleading athletes and passes out good luck ladybug charms at competitions as a display of sportsmanship. She goes above and beyond and truly exceeded our expectations!
She will follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Brittany Deaville. As an ambassador and representative for us and our initiatives during her 2012-2013 term, Brittany served as the exemplary and gracious young face of SOFFE. Brittany’s work will leave a lasting impression upon the All Star community. She has set the bar high for Kori, as well as all future SOFFE All Stars.
As the 2013 winner, Kori receives a complete SOFFE wardrobe, an all-expense paid trip to New York City and $1,000! She will also appear on the cover of the October issue of Inside Cheerleading magazine.
